Ghost Recon Movie

Ghost Recon MovieThe word of a Ghost Recon movie started to spread online when Ubisoft submitted this survey to a few gamers:

Well Ubisoft Motion Pictures, the recently launched film and TV production branch of the video game publisher, just confirmed that Ghost Recon is one of the game properties that are likely to be adapted into a live-action movie quite soon.

For those who don't know, Ghost Recon is a series of military tactical shooter video games. The story is set in the near future, and follows a secret, elite team of soldiers fighting for world peace with cutting-edge military technology. Here's the cinematic intro of the first Ghost Recon game:


There's hope for the Ghost Recon movie to be faithful to the source material since Ubisoft's new policy is to be more involved in the production of films based on its games:

"Our Strategy is not to diversify but to bolster the appeal of our franchises -- that's why we want to make sure our films will reflect the brands accurately and consolidate our fan base while expanding beyond the games' primary target audience."
